Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
2. What personal information we collect
The kinds of personal information we collect depend on how you interact with us, and may include:
- Contact details: your name, business name, email address, phone number and postal address;
- Enquiry and engagement information: details you provide when contacting us, booking a consultation or engaging our services, including information about your business and project requirements;
- Billing information: billing contact details, ABN and payment records. Card payments are processed by third-party payment providers — we do not store full card numbers on our systems;
- Client business data: where an engagement requires access to your systems or data (for example, CRM records), we access it only as needed to deliver the agreed services;
- Website usage data: technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring pages, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health information or racial or ethnic origin) and ask that you do not provide it to us unless it is necessary for an engagement and you consent to us handling it.
3. How we collect personal information
- Directly from you — through our website contact form, email, phone, video calls or during the delivery of services;
- Automatically — through cookies and analytics tools when you browse our website;
- From third parties — for example, publicly available business registers (such as the ABN Lookup) when verifying business details.
4. Why we collect, use and disclose personal information
We collect, hold and use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide quotes and proposals;
- deliver, administer and improve our services;
- issue invoices, process payments and maintain business records;
- communicate with you about your engagement, including updates and support;
- send service-related communications, and (only with your consent) marketing communications, which you can opt out of at any time;
- comply with our legal obligations, including tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements; and
- protect our legal rights and prevent fraud.
We do not sell personal information to any third party.
5. Who we disclose personal information to
We may disclose personal information to:
- service providers who support our operations, such as web hosting, email, cloud software, accounting and payment processing providers, under appropriate confidentiality and data-handling arrangements;
- professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where necessary;
- government agencies, regulators or law enforcement where required or authorised by law.
Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia (for example, cloud platforms operated in the United States or the European Union). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the APPs.
6. Storage and security
- We store personal information in secure, access-controlled cloud systems protected by encryption in transit and, where supported, at rest.
- Access to personal information is limited to people who need it to perform their role.
- We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law (for example, financial records are retained in accordance with Australian tax law), after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.
- No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Cookies and analytics
8. Direct marketing
We only send marketing communications where you have opted in or would reasonably expect them, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing email we send includes a working unsubscribe link, and we action opt-outs promptly.
9. Access, correction and complaints
- Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable period and provide access unless an exception under the Privacy Act applies.
- Correction: If information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, you may ask us to correct it and we will take reasonable steps to do so.
- Complaints: If you believe we have breached the APPs, contact us using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
